How Much Does AICD Cost? How Much Does GAICD Cost?

The GAICD fee low-down

The information provided here is intended for general guidance and informational purposes only. We are in no way affiliated with any of the institutions mentioned in this article.

You don’t need us to tell you that the internet is both a blessing and a curse, making a behemoth of information available instantaneously but often at the expense of relevance and clarity. This is no less true of information on courses, including the much-spruiked AICD Company Directors Course and its ilk.
How much does GAICD cost? To help ease the pain of the search, the Executive Agents team has put together a table that makes comparing the cost of the GAICD with similar courses and programs at home and overseas much more straightforward.

Conclusion

Overall, it is important to note that the fees listed are indicative rather than prescriptive and do not include the other fees you may incur to gain eligibility for enrolment. Of equal importance, the fees listed on the Australian table are for domestic students whereas international institutions don’t seem to note whether the fees are for domestic or international students. To ensure accuracy on the cost of course offerings, we recommend directly contacting the education providers themselves.

The question of whether you need a qualification and of which program is better is much thornier and closely tied to specific circumstances and needs. A quick glance at the formal qualifications held by five of the top directors in the For-profit sector and the directors of five of the top Not-for-profit organisations will tell you that less than half are affiliated with the AICD whilst most, if not all, have university degrees. We can help steer you in the right direction on that subject too, though, with our Do I need the AICD course to be a NED?, Who Needs the AICD Company Directors Course? and Five Alternatives to the Company Directors Course insights.
